Cleaning your nappies
With our unique sanitiser there is no need to soak your cloth nappies!
Simply rinse your cloth nappy pads and leave them in a bucket till you are ready to wash.
On wash day transfer the nappies to your washing machine and add one dessert
spoon of Nappy Fresh to your wash in addition to your normal measure of detergent.
Machine or Hand Wash
Ensure you always wash with chemical-free powder
and do not use any fabric softener (this reduces absorbency). Simply hang out to dry,
direct sunlight is an excellent form of sterilisation, and a very good natural whitener.
Or you can tumble dry, for extra soft and absorbent cloth nappies.
Wash at 60c/90c with Chemical free washing powder,We recommend ecostore powder or persil sensitive.
Caring for your Covers
Nappy Covers don't have to be soaked as long as they are rinsed immediately
after use. If you choose to soak them do not do so for more than 2 hours and do not soak
with the nappies. Do not use any whitening products or fabric softener.
Covers can be washed in the normal way with the rest of your washing. Line dry is the best option and natural sun-light is a great whitener
Warning: Do not dry on radiator. Nappy covers can be reused until soiled or smelly.
Simply rinse off any urine residue and air dry in between uses
Rotate your covers after each change
Check the care instructions on the label of your cover!
Always close the Velcro closures before washing.
Don't use bleach or whitening agents.
They will breakdown the fibres of your nappies and covers and are also very harsh on your baby's skin and the environment.
*Caution: Nappy Buckets full of water are a drowing hazard. Ensure your nappy bucket is secured with a lid and keep out of reach of children.
