2 Child Guarantee
What’s covered under the Guarantee?
– velcro that is coming off, broken or unstitched
– stitching coming loose
– holes or tears in fabric
– flaws in the manufacture
– velcro that has lost its ‘teeth’ and is therefore no longer sticking
What’s not covered under the Guarantee?
– normal wear and tear
– Repelling : lack of absorption on your cotton nappies (probably due to detergent build up)
– Loss of waterproofness on your covers (probably from detergent build up, see our FAQ’ s for tips to strip the covers)
– Loss of waterproofness due to soaking covers
– lint build up
Real Nappies are easy to look after with regular care, small amount of detergent and machine washing.
We recommend the occasional hot wash to remove andy detergent residue.
You can machine or line dry but there are a few No-No’s to follow:
– vinegar (NOTE: We do suggest occasionally adding 1/2 cup of vinegar to the first rinse cycle in order to remove any residual detergent when washing your cotton nappies. This deodorizes, sanitizes and brightens your cotton nappies, and will not affect your warranty. Vinegar is NOT recommended to be used on your covers.)
– Fabric softeners
– washing powder with enzymes or other additives
– NEVER soak your covers
– whitening agents
– Soap Flakes or Borax
– Nappy creams (please use a liner to protect your nappies if you wish to use creams)
BE CAREFUL: particularly of home made detergents, products such as Borax used on the cover will break down the PUL and the elastic.
Terms and conditions:
Real Nappies products are made from premium quality materials and we are proud to provide this guarantee that you can save even more by using them not just for one child but for your second child as well.
This replacement guarantee is based on items being washed every two days, not more frequently, and covers stitching, elastic, fastenings, any manufacturing defects.
It requires the use of the recommended minimum numbers of nappy covers (minimum 6 ) and cloth nappy inserts (minimum: 24 NB, 24 Infant, 18 Crawler, 12 Toddler) at each size.
This warranty only applies to nappies and covers bought directly from our website or from an authorised reseller.
This warranty does not apply to nappies or covers bought second hand from Trade Me or similar.
This warranty only applies to cotton prefolds manufactured by Real Nappies or Real Snug Wrap Covers manufactured by Real Nappies.
If you do experience a failure with a Real Nappies product, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the details. We may require the return of the item and the proof of your purchase. Returned items must be in a clean, washed and dry condition.
Echanges and Refunds
Real Nappies aims for every customer to be completely satisfied.
We understand that sometimes you may have baby brain and order the wrong size or maybe you ordered too many infant size and need to exchange for the crawler size, or you doubled up on Truck for Tommy. It’s OK, we get it!
We understand that sometimes you may order the wrong toy, size or colour, that’s cool with us, we are happy to exchange, without you incurring a restocking fee. However all goods must be returned in new, unopened, unused, resaleable condition within 30 days.

Unless it is our mistake, you are responsible for the returns and exchange shipping charges.
As wonderful as our staff are, we are human, so sometimes we do make a mistake (perhaps we’ve been up all night with a crying baby too or Johnnie just would not go to sleep). We apologise, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for the returns form and we will also reimburse the return shipping costs.
Although ALL our items go through multiple quality checking stations, sometimes occasionally a defective items will slip through : ( We’re really sorry about that, please contact us at email@example.com and request a ‘faulty goods’ form. We will ask for the goods to be returned in a non-smelly, clean condition for us to repair or exchange. Please note that all returned items must be clean, stain-free and dry. If the items are smelly and soiled when returned to us, we will return them to you at your expense.
Cloth Nappy Warranty*
We are proud to offer the best warranty in the cloth nappy business, and we stand by this, please therefore check the details of our warranty here, then if you are satisfied you meet the criteria, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a warranty form to complete, and then send back the items to us. We will repair or replace the items for you.
Request a refund
We hear you! perhaps your purchase is a double-up, or your friend gave you a load of nappies, or your little one’s friend already has that truck, Real Nappies will happily refund** your money. Please make sure you contact us at email@example.com and request a refund form. We will ask you to return new, unopened, unused items in a resaleable condition within 30 days of delivery for a refund. Items should be returned in their original packaging. Unless it is our mistake, you are responsible for the returns shipping charges. Note: We will not accept or refund part packs or part order returns outside of the 30 days period.
*note: we are not responsible for damage caused by improper care, misuse, fading, pilling or normal wear and tear of the product. Nappies and clothing: As with any clothing item our nappies and covers will not withstand repeated daily washing for extended lengths of time. Please remember this when deciding how many nappies to buy, please see our recommended quantity here, or call us for more information.
**Please note that under the Consumer Guarantees Act, we do not HAVE to offer you a refund simply because you change your mind so please choose carefully before buying. Decision to refund is solely at the discretion of Real Nappies Ltd.
